Dr. Carole Tong was born and raised in Calgary, AB. She graduated from Pacific University with her Bachelor of Science in Vision Science (2016) and Doctor of Optometry (2018). During optometry school, Dr. Tong led a team of students to rural communities in Cambodia to provide eye exams to individuals without access to health care. After graduation, she decided to stay in Portland, OR to pursue her career in a private practice setting. Dr. Tong is committed to providing patient-oriented care and looks forward to meeting all your visual needs.

I used to go to an optometrist by Mount Tabor and felt like they didn’t care about adequate eye care... Show More for me. They were very judgmental and seemed hellbent on pushing laser eye surgery instead of supporting my preference for glasses or contacts. After six years there feeling undervalued, I tried Foster Vision and had a completely different experience. My first appointment was excellent - they improved my prescription far more than I thought possible. I’m seeing better than I have in six years and I’m so grateful for their care.
